What's in a name

The name of my blog, and hopefully future company, holds a lot of meaning to me. 3twenty-one is actually a date; March 21st. This is the day that God gave me a second chance at life. When I was a baby I was diagnosed with the genetic disorder Alpha One Anti-Trypson deficiency. It is basically a protein disorder. If you carry the gene for this disease it will either effect you at a very young age or in your early adult life. The gene effects either your lungs or your liver, depending on which one you carry. I carried the gene that effected me as a baby, and it was killing my liver. I needed a transplant or I would not survive. God blessed me with a new liver and the shot at a new life on March 21st, 1992. Two days before my second birthday. Even with a transplant my chances were not great in surviving. There is the fear of rejection and my body just not being able to handle such a surgery at a young age. I have defeated both odds and am still going through life! I have a very medically involved life still but it does not slow me down. I hope that through my art I can eventually create a line that helps promote awareness for Alpha 0ne and transplant patients of all ages. I shall post soon what I am currently working on and things that I have created in the past.
